headspace Southport Push Up Challenge 2021

KEEP FIT, STAY CONNECTED AND SUPPORT MENTAL HEALTH BY JOINING HEADSPACE SOUTHPORT IN COMPLETING 3,318 PUSH-UPS.

headspace Southport are calling on people to join thousands of Australian’s this June in The Push-Up Challenge.

Participants across the country will connect virtually to challenge themselves physically, learn about mental health and help raise awareness of the 3,318 individuals in Australia whose lives were lost to suicide in 2019.

This event is an amazing opportunity to work on your mental and physical wellbeing and get people working together to help push for mental health. Since 2017, this event has had over 200,000 participants, 173 million push-ups have been done and over $7.5 million has been raised for mental health and suicide prevention.

This year you can also choose to do 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the daily target of push-ups. Each day, you will learn about mental health as the push-up target relates to a vital mental health statistic in Australia. You can spread the push-ups across the day and if push-ups are not your thing, you can do squats, sit-ups, lunges or whatever exercise you like!

We are incredibly proud to say that headspace has again been chosen as one of the fundraising partners, as well as Lifeline and The Push For Better Foundation. This year, you can fundraise for your headspace Southport here, with money goes towards us continuing to support young people aged 12 – 25 across the Gold Coast.
