Youth Advisory Group (YAG)
The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is made up of young people aged 16-25 from the Geelong and Surf Coast region who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of their peers. Members come from a range of backgrounds and are advocates for youth mental health.
The YAG plays a vital role in ensuring headspace Armstrong Creek remains youth led. We work closely with the group to ensure young people’s voices are reflected in decisions that shape our service. Through ongoing consultation, members provide input, feedback and lived experience perspectives that guide how our services, programs and community activities are designed and delivered.
YAG members may also be involved in events, campaigns and community activities that raise awareness of mental health, reduce stigma, and share information about how to access support. Training and development opportunities are provided to support members in building their skills and confidence.
If you would like to invite the Youth Advisory Group to attend an event, run an activity, or share information about headspace, please contact our Community Engagement Coordinator.
