headspace Mildura is operated by Ramsay Health Care Pty Ltd. All headspace centres are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, Murray (Murray PHN).

headspace Mildura is a place that young people between the age of 12-25yrs can go if they are having a tough time. We have a range of free services, including advice, information and early intervention for the following;

  • Mental & physical health concerns
  • Use of alcohol and other substances
  • Risk of homelessness
  • Vocational & educational support

Our service is supported by a Youth Reference Group to ensure we are providing a service that young people want, need and like. In addition to extended hours on Tuesday evenings,  headspace  Mildura also operates programs outside hours, in schools and community groups.

You can access headspace Mildura by dropping in to make an appointment, by  phone call, email or fax. Referrals can be made by the young person or by a family member, GP, teacher, or someone close to them. If you are making a referral to headspace Mildura on behalf of a young person we ask that they are aware you are doing so. Professionals referral form.

Services available

Sexual Health Clinic

Services could include: provision of contraception and advice, testing, support, treatment and management of sexually transmissible infections(STI) HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis vaccination for Hepatitis and HPV, pregnancy testing and referral.

Mental Health Services

Mental health workers – which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers – that can help if you're just not feeling yourself.

Doctor (GP)

GPs can help with any physical health issues as well as issues related to sexual health, drug or alcohol use, relationship problems or feeling down or upset. Your centre may have a GP on site or links to one locally. 

Sexual Health Services

Sexual health screenings on site or links to local services. 

Alcohol & Drug Services

Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with any alcohol or other drug issue. 

Work & Study Services

Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with work or study opportunities. 

Youth Reference Group

A group of young people who help with events and some decision making at a centre. Ask your centre about getting involved.

headspace Mildura has a sexual health clinic with a GP and sexual health nurse that can help with condoms, STI testing, pregnancy testing and advice.

headspace Mildura Youth Reference Group (YRG):
The YRG helps to guide headspace Mildura by giving young people a direct role in guiding our centre. Volunteers aged between 12-25 who are passionate about the health of young people are welcome to apply. http://goo.gl/CizP8W

Alphabet Soup:

BOLD Magazine:
headspace Mildura produce BOLD Magazine and work with volunteers aged 12-25 who are interested in writing, art or photography. DRUMBEAT:
this is a rhythm based program developed by Holyoake in Western Australia. The name is an acronym for: Discovering Relationships Using Music, Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes, and Thoughts. Tuning In To Teens:
This is an evidence-based parenting program developed in Australia. The program has been shown to have benefits including improving parenting, parent-child relationships and children’s emotional competence and behaviour.
