headspace Broome is a FREE youth health service dedicated to supporting young people aged 12-25.
At headspace Broome we understand that sorting things out is not always easy, so to make things a little easier we offer a one stop shop with a variety of services to meet your needs.
headspace can assist if you or someone you know is:
- feeling like things are not quite right
- feeling down, depressed or stressed
- not coping at school, work or home
- being hurt or bullied by others
- having relationship problems
- having troubles at home
- having a tough time getting or keeping a job
- finding it hard to concentrate or make decisions
- concerned about drinking or drug use
- concerned about contraception or sex
- experiencing health related issues
Hours
- Monday: 8:00am - 7:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Wednesday: 8:00am - 7:00pm
- Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: Closed
headspace Broome is operated by Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council. All headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, Country WA (WA Primary Health Alliance Ltd).
Services
Mental Health Services
Mental health workers – which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers – that can help if you're just not feeling yourself.
Sexual Health Services
Sexual health screenings on site or links to local services.
Youth Reference Group
A group of young people who help with events and some decision making at a centre. Ask your centre about getting involved.
Doctor (GP)
GPs can help with any physical health issues as well as issues related to sexual health, drug or alcohol use, relationship problems or feeling down or upset. Your centre may have a GP on site or links to one locally.
Alcohol & Drug Services
Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with any alcohol or other drug issue.

Counselling - Got a lot going on? No shame in talking it out with one of our friendly health professionals
Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm (Talk to a staff member if you require an after hours appointment)
Health Clinics (GP) - Any general health concern - cold or flu symptoms, sexual health check up, sports injury, no problem too big or too small
Please bring your Medicare Number - If you are unsure how to obtain this please ask a staff member for assistance or click here 'Medicare'
