At headspace Port Lincoln we provide a youth-friendly, community-based, cost free health service for young people 12-25 and their families. At headspace Port Lincoln we can help you with:
• Mental health and counselling
• Work & Study Program
• Alcohol & other drugs counselling
• Physical and Sexual health
• Group activities and events
headspace Port Lincoln is a low to moderate service that focus on early intervention. We work with young people and their parents/caregivers to provide support at a crucial time in their lives.
headspace Port Lincoln also run a range of Community Engagement activities and Mental Health awareness events.
To make an appointment call our office on (08) 7081 3616 or email hsplreception@youturn.org.au or complete the online referral, which can be found on our website. You do not require a referral from a doctor, however, having your GP involved in your care is recommended. You can also be referred by a family member, friend, school or another service provider.

headspace Port Lincoln is operated by Youturn. All headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, Country SA PHN.
Services
If you live near our headspace centre in a rural area but cannot travel in to see us, you can see our mental health workers online.
GPs can help with any physical health issues as well as issues related to sexual health, drug or alcohol use, relationship problems or feeling down or upset. Your centre may have a GP on site or links to one locally.
Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with any alcohol or other drug concern.
Mental health workers – which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers – that can help if you're just not feeling yourself.
Sexual health screenings on site or links to local services.
Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with work or study opportunities.

How do I make an appointment?
If you are a young person aged 12-25 enquiring about headspace Port Lincoln services for yourself, you do not require a formal referral, simply give us a call on 08 7081 3616 to make an appointment or drop in and have a chat to our Reception staff.
If you are a friend, family member, carer, or service provider you can phone to book an appointment on behalf of a young person but we do request that you discuss this with the young person first to make sure they are happy to come along.

Who is eligible?:
The Work & Study program is designed for young people 12-25 years who are keen to find employment, complete some education or do some training.
What does a typical session look like?:
We conduct sessions either at the centre or out in the community, at a cafe, library or in a park for example.
Our sessions are tailored to your needs; we could be working on your resume, practicing job interview questions, submitting job applications or searching for study options or training courses.
Who will you be working with?:
You'll be assigned to one of our Work & Study specialists. They will work with you to help achieve your Work & Study goals and support you with any challenges or transitions along the way. And if you're not sure what your goals even are, we can help with that too!
