• General Health
• Mental health and counselling
• Work & Study Program

Murray Bridge has an Open Door Program. This program is the front of our service. Murray Bridge headspace continues to offer all of the usual services listed, however in addition we offer the option to continue to engage with a clinician just when you need to. You will have the option to just call back when you next want to see someone rather than have a regular booking. This can also apply to family sessions if this would suit you and the concerns you have. The session will focus on your main concerns and work to provide a service that assists with this. We don’t have waiting lists, you will be seen by an experienced mental health worker in a timely manner. No GP referral needed and all our services are free.
Our office is wheelchair accessible.
You do not require a referral from a doctor, however, having your GP involved in your care is recommended.
Simply fill out the Referral Form and email it to us at headspace@ireach.org.au Or give us a call on 08 8531 2122.

About the Family Inclusive Program
This project will allow our staff to increase their expertise in working with families and change some of the ways we assist young people. The new Family Inclusive Program is being evaluated via a research team with the aim to develop a model of family inclusive work that can be used by other headspace centres across Australia
Family Inclusive Program in Murray Bridge
At headspace Murray Bridge we have always looked for opportunities to support family and friends that are supportive of the young people we see.
We are currently offering a family/friends inclusive intake session to all young people attending headspace for the first time. Individual intake sessions with a youth worker will continue to be available for these young people who prefer no family involvement. Young people and their families may opt to receive support via one family session only. We will also provide opportunities for our ongoing clients to have family/friend involvement in their care if they agree to this option.
Further Support for Families and Friends
If further support is required, there continues to be a variety of options, such as seeing a youth worker for individual or further family sessions, or consulting with one of our Psychologist in Private Practice, GP, or Psychiatrist via telehealth.
If it is decided that we are not the best service for the young person or their family at this time, we will refer on to the many other agencies we consult with in Murray Bridge.
Family Inclusive Program feedback
The new family inclusive intake option will be continually reviewed with feedback from clients, family and workers to assess the ongoing benefit and sustainability to the young people we see.
Tuning Into Teens
Parenting often feels like an emotional roller coaster that we are ill equipped to ride - particularly in the Teen years! But don’t worry, you’re not alone, and we’re here to help! The ‘emotion coaching’ tools from this Tuning into Teens program might just make the ride a little smoother, and ultimately support your relationship with your teen.
We have this program available at select times of the year, please contact us on 8531 2122 or email at headspace@ireach.org.au to find out when we have this program running.
