Would you like to work with headspace Bathurst to design a new art, craft and technology program for young people in Bathurst?
We’re looking for FIVE inspired and creative young people to work with us over FIVE weeks. You don’t need to be an artist or technology whizz. You just need to be creative and ready to bring a little magic to Bathurst.
To apply to be part of this program you will need to develop a prototype that showcases your skills and submit either a model or plan as part of the application process. Your prototype doesn’t need to be techno active at this point, but you will need to have some ideas on how you might include technology in your design.
Participants will be mentored by artist Karen Golland and technology expert Rein Turley. Each winner will also receive a $50 budget to support development on their prototype. The prototypes we create during these five weeks will be used by headspace Bathurst and Programming the Future to design an ongoing arts and technology program. You will also be invited to contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of this program as a Techno Craft Mentor. This is an optional role for those interested in sharing their skills with other young people. You’ll need to be available to attend workshops on the following dates.
- Tuesday 27 March from 4pm to 6pm
- Tuesday 3 April from 4pm to 6pm
- Tuesday 10 April from 4pm to 6pm
- Tuesday 24 April from 4pm to 6pm
- Tuesday 1 May from 4pm to 6pm
Entries can be dropped into headspace Bathurst at 102 Keppel Street Bathurst.
