Extract from the August newsletter: Staff update
2016 is proving to be a super year of change at headspace Bathurst.
This month we farewell two of our valued team members, Cecilia Maloney and Debby Krahe. Cecilia started with our team as a Youth Care Coordinator, and used her experience in this role to develop a new position with headspace Bathurst as Intake Officer. In this role Cecilia became a well known member of our Reception Team and her spirited humour in our waiting room has been a comfort to staff, young people and families alike. We’d also like to wish a fond farewell to Debby Krahe, who has been a pivotal part of our team and used her interest and expertise in mindfulness to develop many of our group programs. Her position as Clinical Psychologist also provided unwavering support and supervision to our team. headspace Bathurst would like to wish both Debby and Cecilia all the best in their future endeavours.
And now to the welcomes. We’re thrilled to introduce a whole bunch of new wonder humans!
Nicki Halliwell has taken the role as headspace Bathurst Program Manager. Nicki’s experience has been in managing staff with TAFE Western, Lifeline and as a Program Manager for RAISE foundation. This varied experience in training, mentoring and management plus my qualifications in social work, psychology, training and human resource management provide me with skill set to help assist staff at headspace Bathurst and Cowra to continue to provide a comprehensive and a high standard professional service to adolescents in these communities. I look forward to working with both schools and service providers.
Nicole Johnson is our new Clinical Leader for both the Bathurst and Orange headspace offices. She is a psychologist with over 20 years experience in the mental health field and is passionate about working with young people and their families in early intervention and prevention of mental illness.
Monica Saigi has started here at headspace as a Business Administration Trainee, she will be alongside Mary at the front desk being the Clients first point of contact. With an interest in Mental Health, Monica is happy to be learning in an environment like headspace. She will be with us for a year being taught the process and way of the front desk.
Kellie Fuller is our new Intake Worker. Kellie has worked as a mentor with the RAISE Foundation and at the hYLITE centre, and is also studying psychology at CSU. Kellie’s role includes talking to new headspace clients about how we can best help, and to make sure that they are offered the most appropriate service for their needs. Which is perfect – because Kellie really loves a good chat!
