Physical activity for young people with low mood: Research study

Have you been feeling down?

We need volunteers with symptoms of low mood to take part in a research study.

If you are interested in participating, we would like to ask you a few questions to determine if the study is suitable for you.

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • are aged 12 – 25 years
  • are having problems with your mood (e.g. feeling down, sad, or depressed)

The research project is investigating whether including a physical activity intervention, in addition to usual treatment, is effective for young people with depression symptoms.

Eligible participants will receive up to 10 individual sessions. In these sessions participants will receive usual treatment plus a brief physical activity intervention or lifestyle information.

What else do you need to know?

  • All sessions are provided at no cost
  • If the trial is not suitable for you, or if you chose to take part and then change your mind, you can receive treatment as usual from headspace Bathurst

For more information contact headspace Bathurst directly on: 6338 1100
