RU OK? Day

Today is the final day of the national RU OK? ‘Conversation Convoy’. Along the six-week journey, the convoy travelled 14,000kms and visited over 20 different communities – where some of our headspace centres joined in events and activations in their local area.

The convoy ended its journey in Cairns today on national RU OK? Day, an awareness day of action dedicated to reminding everyone that we’ve got what it takes to ask “are you OK?” and support those who are going through a tough time.

The day is about inspiring people to start these conversations every day of the year.
This year’s theme is ‘You’ve got what it takes’. We’ve all got what it takes to look out for our friends and families and although it may seem tricky, there are ways to navigate a conversation when someone says “No, I’m not ok” by following these four steps:

1. Ask R U OK?

2. Listen

3. Encourage action

4. Check in
