Public invited to shape next phase of headspace Plus Model of Care

The current draft follows extensive engagement with the headspace network, mental health sector, partners and stakeholders over recent months.

headspace CEO Jason Trethowan welcomed the opportunity for further consultation, saying the draft headspace Plus Model of Care builds on what works, giving us greater flexibility to meet the diverse and evolving needs of young people.”

It reflects a strong foundation of sector expertise and on-the-ground experience, with input from across the headspace network directly informing the proposed enhancements.

The draft has been submitted to the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, which is now coordinating a public consultation process. This consultation is open until 11 June 2026 and provides an opportunity for community members, service providers and stakeholders to contribute feedback.
