We're teaming with triple j for this year’s Hottest 100, to help provide more young people with early intervention mental health services.

Join us by making a donation or buying this year’s Hottest 100 t-shirt, made from 100% recycled materials.

All proceeds will go towards expanding our Peer Support online community program, enabling young people with lived experience of mental ill-health to support others.

What is Peer Support?

68% of young people would be willing to seek support from someone who has been through a similar experience (headspace National Youth Mental Health Survey 2023).  The headspace Peer Support service enables those with lived experience of mental ill-health to support others who might be going through similar challenges.

Sharing advice, stories and reflections between friends and other people your age can be a vital part of the recovery process and a way to maintain mental health plans and goals. It may be social, emotional, or practical, but most importantly this support is mutually offered and reciprocal.

How does it work?

headspace connects you with other young people who might be going through similar situations to you, in weekly (or fortnightly) peer group chats.

Group chats are led by peer support moderators who are trained to help facilitate group conversations and will also share their own lived experiences.

It’s free, anonymous, and a safe and supportive way to regularly connect with others to share tips and experiences.

What is triple j’s Hottest 100?

triple j is the national broadcaster for young Australians. They bring you the latest, greatest music and the stories that matter wherever you are, wherever you listen.  The Hottest 100 is triple j's annual poll of your favourite songs. Hundreds of thousands of people vote for the songs that soundtracked their life over the last year, leading to one hell of a listening party on the 27th of January 2024.
