Community Engagement 2023/2023

We are a small team of dedicated Community Engagement workers who work part-time hours.

An important part of our role in the community is to promote headspace services to young people, parents/carers, schools and other key stakeholders. We are keen to collaborate with services and community groups based on the Gold Coast by offering presentations about headspace services, hosting stalls and partnering on activities/events/something cool!

Our priority groups include young men, disengaged young people, First Nations, Culturally & Linguistically Diverse and LGBTIQAP+ young people. Requests for community engagement and participation will be prioritised in relation to those priority groups.

To keep up with the fun we are having at our Upper Coomera centre or in the community head over to our Instagram and Facebook pages.

Our Community Engagement team also runs our Youth Advisory Council which is a good group of passionate young people who work with our centre to give guidance and feedback, collaborate on events and campaigns, create social media and help make sure young people's voices are being heard.

Please note that our Community Engagement team is not able to provide presentations or workshops on mental health to schools/unis/tafe. Click here for info on evidence based, clinician led programs, and other offerings specifically developed for schools that may be able to service your request.
