Community Engagement

Our two Community Engagement Coordinators work part time/3 days a week to plan and deliver incredible events across our Gold Coast region, and promote headspace services to young people, parents/carers, schools and other key stakeholders.

Our small but passionate team are are keen to collaborate to run an activity or event for a key date of significance (like Mental Health week, RU OK Day, Harmony Week) or partner up to co-design a fun event with a mental health and wellbeing focus.

We can also offer interactive information sessions about headspace services.

Our priority groups to work with include young men, disengaged young people, First Nations, Culturally & Linguistically Diverse, and LGBTIQAP+ young people. Requests for community engagement will be prioritised in relation to those groups.

Young people can also join our Youth Advisory Council; The YAC are a group of passionate young people who work with our centre to give guidance and feedback, collaborate on events and campaigns, create social media and help make sure young people’s voices are being heard.

Request to collaborate with our Community Engagement Team

Please note that our Community Engagement team is not able to provide presentations or workshops on mental health to schools/unis/tafes. Click here for info on evidenced-based, clinician-led programs, and other offerings specifically developed for schools that may be able to service your request.
