Getting support during COVID-19 - We're all in this together

We realise that these are uncertain times that we’re all going through. It’s completely understandable if you’re having a hard adjusting to everything going on at the moment or are struggling to cope. For tips on how to cope with stressful times related to COVID-19 click here 

We continue to support young people.  We have significantly increased our online/phone services to keep everyone safe, and can currently provide in person appointments if needed.  Whilst we are still here for young people, we want to bring to your attention some additional resources which might help you get the right support at the moment.All these services are currently working together in supporting the Melton and wider communities .

Please note this is a working document, as soon as we hear of any additional services who are supporting young people, we’ll chuck them up on here.  We’ll also let you know via our Facebook page, follow us here 

headspace National

Our friends at headspace National are working hard behind the scenes to ensure all young people, their friends and families are supported across Australia when dealing with COVID-19.  You can stay up to date on their newest social media campaigns on facebook or follow on instagram :@headspace_aus

headspace Digital Services 

Here, you can access lots of great mental health resources including group chats, online communities, interactive resources and 1:1 direct support with professionals. eheadspace provides free online support and counselling to young people 12 - 25 and their families and friends. If you’re based in Australia and going through a tough time, eheadspace can help.

Eheadspace is available from 9AM – 1AM, every day of the week. You can connect with a headspace clinician either 1 on 1 via webchat or join a group conversation

Digital Work and Study 

headspace work and study can assist you with creating a winning resume, career planning, job searching, interview preparation, contact and collaboration with employers and social firms. They can also support you in exploring suitable education options, assist you with getting into study, as well as sourcing financial support for your education.

You can connect with headspace Digital Work and study by giving them a buzz on 1800 810 794 or registering your interest. Digital Work and Study workers are also available from 9AM-1AM , 7 Days a week .



Melton Community Services 

We’ve been in touch with our friends in Melton and the surrounding areas to see what they’re offering in order to support young people and their families. You can find a table full of service information here. Included in the table is specific information about what services they are currently offering, how to know if you’re suitable and how to get in touch with them.  The majority of them are offering phone/online services can you keep on practicing social distancing from the comfort of your house.
