More information

Anyone aged 12-25 seeking support with their mental or physical wellbeing.

You do not need to have a diagnosed condition to access support at headspace. We can also help parents, families, and carers who want information or support about how to help their young person.

We are an inclusive service that celebrates the strengths and differences of all people in our community. Our staff work inclusively and respectfully with people from Culturally or Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, people with a disability, young LGBTQIA+ people and rainbow families, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Family and Friends

We believe that family and friends play an important role in the path to better wellbeing and understand there may be many different types of family and friends that are important. Research shows that involving family and friends in a young person’s care can lead to better health outcomes.

Wherever possible, we support and create meaningful opportunities for family and friends to directly participate in our services, in ways that the young person is comfortable with, and that are likely to be beneficial to the young person's wellbeing.

All involvement of family and friends at headspace is done with the young person's privacy and confidentiality in mind.

Please see this Family and Friends Welcome Pack for more information and headspace National also offer online support services for family and friends.

Self-referrals

Young people, their friends, and families can refer themselves or someone they know to headspace in a few different ways:

When you first call, a worker will record your contact information and arrange for a Clinician to call you back in 1-5 working days. The Clinician will call back to have a 10-15 minute chat about what's going on for you and what support you would like. If you're not comfortable speaking over the phone, we can arrange an in person appointment.

headspace is a consent based service. This means we only see young people who want to see us.

Agency Referrals

For schools and other organisations, please complete our agency referral form.
