2023 headspace Geelong Group Programs
headspace Geelong is currently offering a range of group opportunities
PeerSpace
PeerSpace is a group where young people come together and share their experiences in an easygoing environment with other young people.
We hope the group will be a space where we can share practical insights and tips on how to look after our mental health with group members that are 13-17 years old and have lived experience of mental health challenges.
It’s a social space where we’ll hang out, play games and eat food- yes there’s snacks!
The group is small, with no more than 8 members and confidential, everyone’s there for similar reasons.
Being part of a supportive group can empower you to learn more about yourself and make informed decisions about your life.
The group will run during every school term for 8 weeks, with a 1 week break in the middle.
ARCS
This is a group where activities are based on connection, gratitude, empathy and reflection.
This is a 7 week program and runs every school term.
MateSpace
MateSpace offers a safe and inclusive space for young men to get together, cook a BBQ, play games and listen to music. MateSpace is a great opportunity to connect with others and expand your social circle. All young men 12-25 are welcome.
This is a fortnightly group, starting in February 2023 in Torquay.
Diverse City
Diverse City is for young people who want to connect with peers who identify as LGBTIQA+. The program is developed for two age groups 12-15 and 16-25 years.
This is a 6 week program, starting in February 2023 at headspace Geelong.
