Young males aged 12-18 years old are invited to participate in a FREE 3-workshop course presented by Man UP WA.
The workshops will be on Mondays from 3:30-4:45pm held at the headspace Cannington centre (Shops 1 and 2 1468 Albany Hwy, Cannington 6107).
MAN UP is a not-for-profit, peer-to-peer education service in WA, with the goal of empowering young men and redefining masculinity. Their workshops are on various topics centered around men’s mental health and well-being, with an emphasis on transforming boys into confident, purpose-driven, and emotionally capable men.
Week 1 (25th November)- Male Culture. Addresses the concept of masculinity on a societal scale. Students are encouraged to reflect on the question: “what does it mean to be a man?"
Week 2 (2nd December)- Male Relationships. Directs the students to learn about how masculinity associates with the formation, development, and health of their interpersonal relationships
Week 3 (9th December)- Male Coping. This session places a focus on mental health, vulnerability, skill-building, aiming to give students the necessary tools to overcome various challenges
