Riverland Pride March (2022)

The Riverland Pride March is an all-ages community walk to celebrate and support LGBTQIA+ young people in the Riverland.

 

 

When: Friday 26th August 2022 to celebrate Wear It Purple Day

Where: Renmark Riverfront, starting across the road from the Renmark Hotel

Time: Gather from 4.30pmpm for photos & glitter, walk commences 4:40pm

Riverland Pride March will be held on Friday 26th August at the Renmark Riverfront. LGBTQIA+ community members and allies of all ages are welcome, and everyone is encouraged to wear rainbow-themed costumes or to dress in headspace green or purple for Wear It Purple Day.

For safety reasons all attendees are asked to register here.

The walk will commence at 4:40pm at the Renmark Riverfront across the road from the Renmark Hotel. All attendees are invited to arrive from 4.30pm for photos and glitter before the walk commences. The walk will move along the Renmark Riverfront and conclude in the Jarrett Memorial Gardens with speeches. Community are invited to cheer and join the walk anywhere along the route. 

Remember to mask-up and use hand sanitiser to keep yourself and others safe from COVID. Please stay home if you are unwell.

Writers SA, Part of Things & Riverland Youth Theatre are hosting a pride-themed open mic night and an opportunity to mingle at the Riverland Youth Theatre Hall to extend the Riverland Pride March celebrations. The open mic will kick off at 7pm.
