Family Reference Group (FRG)
headspace Batemans Bay and headspace Narooma are recruiting for the Family Reference Group (FRG)!
The Family Reference Group (FRG) is made up of people who have experience supporting a young person with their mental health and want to help improve how headspace supports young people and families.
At headspace, family is defined by each young person. This may include parents, carers, siblings, partners, Elders, kin, chosen family, friends and other important support people.
Family perspectives are important. The FRG helps make sure headspace Batemans Bay and headspace Narooma are welcoming, inclusive, accessible and responsive to the needs of young people and the people who support them.
Are you:
- Someone who has supported a young person with their mental health?
- Passionate about youth mental health and wellbeing?
- Interested in sharing your perspective to help improve services?
- Open to learning, contributing ideas and being part of a supportive group?
- Able to attend meetings either in person or online?
What does being part of the FRG involve?
FRG members support headspace Batemans Bay and headspace Narooma by:
- sharing feedback on services, programs and resources
- providing family and support person perspectives
- helping identify what makes services feel welcoming and accessible
- contributing ideas that support young people and families
- taking part in consultations or feedback opportunities where appropriate
Meetings can be attended face-to-face at either headspace Batemans Bay or headspace Narooma, or online — whatever works best and is most accessible for you.
Your voice can help strengthen how headspace supports young people and families.
