In everything we do, we aim to meet the evolving and unique needs of young people and those who support them. That’s why our Youth Engagement Subcommittee (YES) is at the heart of our work, and they play an active role in designing, developing, and evaluating our programs.

There are a number of roles you can play in our YES Crew, including:

• Leading a project/event/fundraiser in our local area
• Represent headspace Toowoomba and young people in the community
• Social media and website consultation and development
• Research and evaluation of headspace Toowoomba
• Consultation around resource development such as factsheets, brochures, radio ads etc
• Peer support and mentoring
• Become a Media Spokesperson
• Have the opportunity to sit in a Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary position

By getting involved you will:

• Have the opportunity to have your say and direct youth mental health services in headspace Toowoomba
• Develop new skills
• Attend leadership training
• Be given the opportunity to participate in mental health training
• Meet and work with other young people who are passionate about youth mental health
• Make a difference to youth mental health

Expectations and Requirements:

• A valid Blue Card
• Attend YES Crew meetings
• Participate in planning and attending events
