Make a difference to young people and join one of Tasmania’s most innovative primary health services. The Link Youth Health Service (‘The Link’) supports young people within Hobart and Southern Tasmania by providing a range of free and confidential health and wellbeing services for young people aged 12-25. We facilitate various youth mental health services, including the headspace Hobart program, throughout the Southern Tasmania area.

The Link currently has multiple positions across the organisation suitable to staff at various stages of their professional career to assist our ongoing growth and service delivery. 

We are looking for passionate Allied Health Professionals to contribute to a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team while providing evidence-based, early intervention to young people.

We have current and upcoming fixed term, full time/part time and private practitioner opportunities in various locations across Southern Tasmania. 

We are open to expressions of interest from suitability experienced Allied/Mental Health Professionals for the following positions:

  • Allied Health Clinicians (MBS rebatable or eligible for)
  • Private Practitioners (MBS rebatable or eligible for)

  • Social Workers (Acreditted) 

The organisation

The Link Youth Health Service Inc (The Link) has been helping young Tasmanians (aged 12-25) for 30+ years. As the Lead Agency for headspace Hobart, part of the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, The Link offers early intervention mental health services, including physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and drug services, and work/study support. The Link collaborates with young people, the community, and funders to promote their well-being and success.

The Link provides high quality primary and clinical health services as well as information, advice and referral services. They work across the health sector in developing innovative and responsive models of service. They also assist in delivering training and support to other professionals and the wider community. They strive to excel in the delivery of evidence-based, primary and clinical health services to young people by strengthening partnerships with government, private and community sectors and engaging service users and the community.
