march with headspace at Mardi Gras – no matter where in Australia you are!
headspace is set to sparkle as part of this year’s Sydney Mardi Gras Parade - and we want you to play a virtual role in the biggest event on the LGBTQIA+ calendar.
As the national youth mental health foundation, headspace is proud to support LGBTQIA+ young people in communities all across Australia. In fact, 30 per cent of young people coming to headspace identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Sadly, it’s not possible for everyone to attend Sydney World Pride in-person. That’s why we are inviting LGBTQIA+ young people, their families and friends to share with headspace a short video – just 15 seconds to one minute, filmed in portrait – showing the world what lights you up and makes you feel your most authentic happy self.
We’ll display the videos in the Mardi Gras parade as part of our float, which will celebrate and amplify the voices of queer young people.
You might like to show us your dance moves, introduce us to your friends, do your makeup, go rollerblading – whatever queer joy looks like to you, so long as it’s positive and colourful!
Submissions must close February 15, so get filming to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
Find details about how to film and submit your video via this form.

“We can’t wait to march in this year’s Sydney Mardi Gras Parade, as part of Sydney World Pride - an important and vibrant celebration of our much-loved queer community.
