What is hAY Crew?

Our hAY Crew is a passionate group of young people aged 16-25 years who work with our centre to: 

• plan and attend community events
• give us real feedback
• brainstorm ideas with headspace staff
• help make sure young people's voices are being heard
• help us employ staff (sit on interviews)

If you love leadership, advocating for mental health, and hanging out with like-minded people- hAY Crew is for you! 

What do the hAY Crew do?

As a hAY Crew member, you’ll: 

• meet 8-10 times a year at headspace
• help plan and attend community events and projects
• share ideas on how to improve headspace service
• access opportunities for professional development training
• help interview and choose staff that work at headspace
• represent headspace in the community and at events

Who can join hAY Crew?

Our hAY Crew is a mix of genders, cultural backgrounds, ages and life experiences including:

• Young people with lived experience of mental health challenges
• Representatives from local schools, TAFE and universities
• Young people who have accessed headspace
• First nations young people
• LGBTQIA+ young people
• Young men
• Culturally and linguistically diverse young people
• Young people who’ve experienced homelessness
