How groups help

Get the most out of your headspace experience by joining one of our free groups.

A group can help you:

  • Share your feelings in a safe judgement-free space
  • Validate your experiences
  • Understand yourself and your emotions through open conversations
  • Learn tips on how to cope with others going through similar stuff

DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy)

Our 8-week DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) Skills Group gives young people practical tools to better understand themselves, build resilience, and feel more in control. DBT is an evidence-based approach that helps young people learn real-life coping skills. It focuses on:

  • Mindfulness (being present)
  • Distress Tolerance (getting through tough moments)
  • Emotion Regulation (understanding and managing feelings)
  • Interpersonal Skills (communication & boundaries)

Group Details

Location: headspace Southport

When: Wednesday's 2:30pm - 4:30pm (Starting Wednesday 1st July 2026)

Format: 8 weekly sessions
