headspace Day at Penrith was an exciting affair complete with seven fun-filled stations. From making a mess with handmade stress balls to crafting healthy gourmet yoghurt bowls, the day was jam-packed with fun and creative tips to help young people improve their mental health.
Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel made an appearance to discuss the importance of staying active and the positive effects it can have on mental health. They dazzled us with simple ways to help form healthy active habits, from constructing an active plan to making a healthy lifestyle journal.
We had young people design and paint their own bags so they had somewhere to store all the goodies they received on the day, which included several self-care accessories and feel good items they could use to build a happy headspace at home.
Staff and young people enjoyed the ultimate self-care experience which entailed devouring healthy and delicious PIZZA for lunch. The day was topped off with the ideal road trip soundtrack that played throughout the event and an assortment of decadent snack tables as far as the eyes could see.
headspace Day would have been nothing if not for the amazing group of young people who graced our doors. All the young people in attendance had a wonderful time, so much so that some didn’t want to leave at closing time. The Penrith team had so much fun that they are already looking forward to headspace Day 2020!
