As part of Queensland Youth Week 2019, headspace Woolloongabba and headspace Nundah have teamed up with The Brisbane Longboarding Family to organise a Longboard Cruise around town. All skill levels are welcome and a couple of boards are available to borrow, if you get in quick.
The cruise will kick off on the South Brisbane side of Goodwill Bridge, where we will all meet at 3pm and then slowly cruise together to our destination Kurilpa Park. You can bring your own longboard, electric skateboard, scooter, skateboard or any similar small vehicle. All participants will be required to wear a helmet while riding. Please also make sure you bring your own water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses and maybe a hat.
Following the cruise through town, we're hosting a picnic at Kurilpa Park! We will be raffling off some prizes, which have kindly been donated by Evolve Skateboards, who are sponsoring the event. Everyone is welcome at the picnic, even if you didn't attend the cruise.
Registration is essential for the cruise (but not the picnic). To register, click here.
All participants under 18 will be provided with a consent form, which needs to be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
For more information, please contact headspace Nundah and headspace Woolloongabba.
