headspace Narooma is a place where young people in Narooma and surrounding areas who are going through a tough time can get support.
We provide a safe and confidential environment for young people aged 12-25 to access free services for mental health.
You can contact the centre by calling 1800 343 999 Monday to Friday and be connected to a friendly team member who will be ready to assist you with any enquiries you may have.

headspace Narooma is linked to headspace Batemans Bay and operated by Relationships Australia Canberra and Regions. All headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, Coordinare.
Services
If you live near our headspace centre in a rural area but cannot travel in to see us, you can see our mental health workers online.
Mental health workers – which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers – that can help if you're just not feeling yourself.
Nutrition screening, dietary assessment and education about food and lifestyle, also support around healthy eating strategies.

headspace Narooma is recruiting for the 2025 Youth Reference Group!
The Youth Reference Group provides young people with the opportunity to be heard and be active around youth mental health and alcohol and other drug issues in the local community.
Are you?
- Aged between 16 & 25 and passionate about youth mental health?
- Wanting to gain experience and new skills in the mental health field?
- Looking to add to a resume while studying?
- Wanting to have fun, meet new people and be a part of headspace and community events?
What will my role in the Youth Reference Group involve?
headspace Narooma Youth Reference Group Members are involved in the planning, decision making and direction of headspace Narooma.
Your voice will help:
- Guide headspace Narooma in the development and review of programs, groups and resources
- Ensure young people in the Eurobodalla have the opportunity to initiate and be involved in community awareness raising activities and events
- Create positive youth media that promotes young people, their experiences and stories
- Ensure headspace Narooma continues to be a youth friendly centre that meets the needs of local young people.

Statistics show that up to 66% of Australian LGBTQIA+ youth experience some kind of discrimination, which can naturally have an impact on their mental health.
headspace Narooma is a safe place for LGBTQIA+ young people to seek support. You can book an appointment to have a chat with one of our clinicians by calling our office on 1800 343 999 or by emailing info@headspacenarooma.org.au

- Twenty10: A Sydney-based service working across New South Wales, providing specialised services for young people aged 12-25, including housing, mental health, counselling, and social support. - QLife: Provides Australia-wide anonymous peer support and referral for various issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings, or relationships. Services are free and include telephone and webchat support delivered by trained LGBTQIA community members across the country, operating from 3pm to midnight 365 every day. Visit qlife.org.au.
- Minus18: Australia's charity for LGBTQIA+ youth, improving lives through life-affirming events, education, and youth empowerment. Visit minus18.org.au.

- Black Rainbow: A national volunteer Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTQIA+SB social enterprise promoting positive health and well-being for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Asexual, Sistergirl, and Brotherboys (LGBTQIA+SB).
