How AI is impacting young people- New Cyber Rountable Discussion with our Family Reference Group

 

 

Our Family Reference Group (FRG) across headspace Bondi Junction, Hurstville and Miranda have implemented a new series of online roundtable discussions to have important conversations surrounding topics that want to be addressed. 

The first one in our series kicked off in March and focused on "Keeping Young People Safe When Using AI"! 

AI is a powerful tool but it can also be dangerous, and we often worry about our young people. 
    This discussion will combine questions from parents and carers with real world advice from experts
    in IT and Mental Health.

 We were incredibly fortunate enough to have a guest speaker, Breina the IT Lady, who shared valuable insights into using AI as a tool for technological aid. We also were joined by Seema, the Centre Manager at headspace Miranda and Hurstville who shared knowledge around having discussions with young people about the risks and benefits of AI use.
