NATIONAL #headspaceday is COMING!
The very first headspace day is just around the corner! We are excited to get all Australians involved and celebrating this inaugural day.
To celebrate, headspace Meadowbrook will also host an event on Monday, 10 October, from 10.00 am- 1.00 pm. This event is being organised by young people- FOR young people and will be an opportunity to gain some firsthand insight into the work that takes place here at headspace Meadowbrook. Our amazing Youth Governance committee would love for you to drop in, have a chat, share some food and participate in the activities and entertainment they will have going! We will also be showcasing and providing information about our current Doors to Unity Program, which celebrates the vibrant cultural diversity within Logan.
#headspaceday signifies what headspace is: a comprehensive, early-intervention mental health service for 12-25 year olds. Young people can visit one of our 95 centres across the country to get help, seek advice or have a chat online or over the phone, from anywhere in Australia, through eheadspace. Celebrities, sports stars, musicians and politicians will be wearing #headspaceday wristbands to show their support on 11 October and we want YOU to wear one as well.
Anyone living in and around Logan can drop into headspace Meadowbrook and pick up an Access All Areas wristband, from there you can take a photo and share on social media with the hashtag #headspaceday.
