  • Work and Study

Our IPS team recently travelled to Melbourne for the annual headspace Work and Study Learning Collaborative. This event allowed us a chance to reflect, innovate and celebrate what we do in the work and study space to support our young people, and to connect with work and study staff from other headspace centres across the country and the headspace national work and study team. We were also lucky enough to have a tour of Orygen‘s purpose built youth mental health research and clinical services facility to learn about the current programs and research they’re developing to for young people experiencing mental ill-health. If you have a young person linked with us who needs assistance with their work or study goals, call the office to find out more about the program, or email Mackayheadspace@nwrh.com.au
  • social groups

As well as one-on-one sessions, we also offer a range of group programs such as: movies nights, diverse voices, and gamespace.
  • headspace Day 2023

This headspace day we attended the cinemas to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This year we wanted young people to take some time for themselves and have a night out with friends and family. Take the pressure off and just enjoy the good things in life (Salty Cinema Popcorn). We are also so excited to be launching our new campaign. For all sorts of reasons, many of us - including young people - might place high and unrealistic expectations on ourselves which are often tough to reach. It's important to recognise these, be kind to ourselves and know that we're all on our own journey. From mental health and wellbeing, to work and study support, online and in-person services, plus our work in schools and communities, find out how we can support your young person.
