Tas Pride
Yesterday we joined Tas Pride for their annual picnic. There was a little drizzle, but it didn't dampen the vibrant celebration of diversity! There was music pumping, sausages sizzling, pets parading and good vibes all round!
Young people who are LGBTI are at higher risk of mental health concerns due to the difficulties associated with disclosure and community attitudes, not due to their sexual or gender identity. We want young people to know that if they’re experiencing mental health concerns or other worries because of homophobia or transphobia, they don't have to go through it alone and there is support available.
OUTspace is a peer support group for LGBTI young people delivered in partnership by Working it Out and headspace Hobart. For more information about the group, or one to one support, please visit Working it Out or contact us at headspace Hobart on 6231 2927.
