Group programs are a great way to build skills, connect with others and explore new ideas in a safe and supportive environment.

At headspace Ballarat, our groups are free and designed specifically for young people aged 12–25.

Spaces are limited, so we encourage early expressions of interest.

A social group for neurodivergent young adults (18–25 years)

Neurospace is a welcoming social club designed to provide a safe and inclusive space for neurodivergent young adults to build connections and friendships.

Over six weeks, we explore identity and creativity through:

  • Scrapbooking

  • Collaging

  • Creating mood boards

  • Expressing individuality in a relaxed, supportive environment

This group focuses on connection, creativity and community.

Program Details

When: Thursdays, 5:00pm – 6:00pm

  • Week 1 – 19 February

  • Week 2 – 26 February

  • Week 3 – 5 March

  • Week 4 – 12 March

  • Week 5 – 19 March

For young people aged 14–18 years

The DBT Skills Group is a structured six-week program designed to help young people develop practical tools for managing emotions and building stronger relationships.

What the Program Covers

  • Managing intense emotions

  • Handling impulsive behaviours

  • Improving communication

  • Building self-awareness

  • Strengthening relationships with family and friends

Program Details

When: Tuesdays for 6 weeks
Commencing 10 February 2026

Time: 4:30pm – 6:30pm

headspace Ballarat
Level 1, 20 Dawson Street North
Ballarat Central

Cost: Free

Eligibility: Young people aged 14–18 years

Parent/Carer Involvement:
A parent or carer is required to attend Week 4 (Walking the Middle Path). This session focuses on strengthening communication skills between young people and caregivers.

Attendance Requirement:
Participants are expected to attend all six sessions to gain the full benefit of the program.
