We Have Capacity Available! More Staff = More Support for Young People
headspace Ashfield update: New staff, more capacity to support our local young people!
As an early-intervention youth mental health service, we see young people (aged between 12-25 years old) who need support across a range of areas that may be impacting their mental health. Some of the reasons people visit us include:
• feeling anxious or stressed
• problems with family and friends
• issues in romantic relationships
• questions about sex
• questions about gender and who you are attracted to
• bullying
• anger
• help with finding a job or getting into study
• physical health (including sexual health) concerns
• feeling down or depressed
• just not feeling yourself!
At headspace, we have a “no wrong door” approach, which means that even if we’re not the right service to support a young person at that time, we will work to find a service that is suitable, based on the challenges the young person is experiencing
It’s easy to get in contact with us – simply call our friendly reception on (02) 9193 8000 who will put you in touch with our Intake team, and we can arrange for an initial assessment with one of our Youth Access Clinicians.
Sessions are generally covered by Medicare, however if you have any questions regarding access to our services, our reception team will be happy to provide you with the right information for your circumstances
