peer work at headspace
what is a peer worker?
A peer worker is someone who has lived experience dealing with their mental health. they can provide emotional support, encouragement, and resources to services that can support you through your own experiences.
At headspace, our peer worker runs social groups open to young people - even if you are not engaging with headspace right now!

My mental health recovery has not been a clear line with a start and finish. There have been times where things are going really well, and others where it does become challenging.
Through my recovery, I have learnt that there is no one size fits all solution to mental wellbeing. Learning how to ask for help, connecting with others that may also be going through a tough time, and advocating for my own needs helped support me through difficult situations.
I became a peer worker to let others know - you are not alone in your recovery.
Outside of work you most likely find me gaming, trying a new hobby, or hanging out with my cats.
