Our Service:
This is an exciting time for Stride as the new provider for headspace Geelong. Currently and successfully operating 7 headspace centres in QLD and NSW, including one satellite centre. We have demonstrated strong understanding of the headspace model and the youth stream of mental health care.
headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.
Role Overview:
The headspace Centre Manager will have a pivotal role in the overall leadership and management of headspace Geelong and Corio and support the subcontracting arrangement with headspace Ocean Grove. The main duties of the role include:
- Service Delivery oversite (including the IPS program), Contract Management, Stakeholder and Partnership Engagement
- Financial and human resources management as well as maintaining oversight of compliance with funding and reporting requirements
- Lead the clinical governance of headspace centre/s and satellite/s, resulting in better quality services and improved clinical outcomes for young people and their families, as well as better clinical systems and support for staff
- Review and development of clinical systems, clinical quality and risk management, as well as compliance with By Stride and headspace clinical reporting requirements
Requirements:
- General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Accredited Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Credentialed Mental Health Nurse OR AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (may consider applicants working towards mental health accreditation)
- Minimum of 2 years experience managing a mental health service
- Demonstrated experience working within a recovery-based model
- Demonstrated expertise in the management of a multi-disciplinary service delivery team, with the ability to lead the coordination of care for people with complex needs including consultation and engagement with a wide range of professionals/stakeholders.
- Highly-developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high demand work environment and to exercise judgment and initiative.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
- Current Drivers License
