Role Overview:

• Provide high standard GP assessments of young persons aged 12-25 years experiencing physical and mental health issues
• Liaising and working with internal and external stakeholders
• Creating Mental Health Care Plans for internal referrals, Psychiatrist and Allied Health Services
• Providing high quality, primary health care services to those accessing headspace
• Respond to medical/health concerns presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate
• Encourage and support young people to engage with sexual health and drug and alcohol services as well as preventative health care

Requirements:

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Professional Indemnity Insurance
• NSW Medical Registration
• A commitment to quality youth-focused primary health care services to those accessing the centre
• Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and be willing to Bulk Bill
• Level 1 in Mental Health Skills Training 
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Criminal Record Check
