The Link is a not-for-profit organisation providing free health and wellbeing services to young people aged 12–25 across Hobart and Southern Tasmania. The Link deliveres youth-centred services including mental health support, alcohol, tobacco, and other drug services, sexual health, and the successful delivery of headspace Hobart model.

About the Role

The Clinical Lead role provides oversight to the coordination and delivery of high quality clinical and wellbeing services for young people aged 12–25. This includes clinical supervision, support and guidance to clinicians, private practitioners, and students, ensuring services are safe, evidence based and responsive to the needs of young people.

The Clinical Lead team contributes to high quality service delivery, clinical governance, and demand management across The Link and headspace Hobart. The successful applicant will participate in clinical reviews, referral management, multidisciplinary collaboration, and service improvement activities. During periods of high demand, the role may also carry a small clinical caseload.

This position reports to the headspace Hobart Manager, and works closely with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders to strengthen pathways of care for young people across Southern Tasmania.

The Clincial Lead role will be appointed between 0.8 and 1.0 FTE, subject to candidate suitability and organisational requirements.

About You

You will be an experienced clinician with strong leadership capability and a passion for youth health.

  • Tertiary level qualifications in an allied health discipline specifically social work, psychology, mental health nursing or occupational therapy.   

  • Current registration or membership with a relevant professional body (AHPRA, AASW or equivalent)

  • A minimum of 5 years as a practicing allied health practitioner

  • Demonstrated experience in youth mental health or youth health service delivery

  • Experience leading or supporting multidisciplinary clinical teams

  • Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and supervision

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
