About the role
We’re looking for an Allied Health Professional to provide mental health sessions under the Better Access Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS) pathway, for young people (12 – 25 years old), using a Mental Health Care Plan. You will be self-employed and working on contract with our centre, and bulk billing your clients.
Our clinical team will work with you to quickly build up a caseload that is in line with your capacity, skills, and experience. You will always have support from an on-site clinical team including in-reach positions from Queensland Health and our in-house clinical team.
You will have flexibility around hours and days you’d like to offer appointments (between Monday to Friday), with some limited out-of-hours availability required from time to time.
You’d be a great fit if
- You are motivated, organized, and you prefer to manage your own schedule. You would be working autonomously, with support from our clinical team.
- You’ve got a passion to help your community and build a career working with young people aged 12-25 years old.
- You’ve got the knowledge and experience to work with a range of presentations within the mild to moderate spectrum. This can include, but is not limited to, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm alcohol and drug use and family discord.
- You have tertiary qualifications in psychology, mental health, social work, occupational therapy and/or have a current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) membership.
- You have ABN and professional indemnity insurance.
- You have a Medicare provider number and you can bill under the Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS).
