Tell me about the role……

The Mental Health Clinician will work across two innovative online services, the headspace Work and Study Service and the headspace Career Mentoring Service. These programs support young people in reaching their employment and education goals, with integrated clinical support.

Undertaking a clinical advisory role, the incumbent will, in collaboration with the Clinical Practice Division, provide guidance and oversight for the clinical governance and risk of the Vocational Programs including leading the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and appropriate management and escalation of risk.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a health professional with qualifications and experience in assessment and treatment of mental health and other related issues for young people, The successful applicant will have completed their tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health discipline – either Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or Psychology (OTs, Mental Health Nurses and Psychologists need to be fully registered with AHPRA). 

You will have demonstrated knowledge and clinical skills in the provision of mental health care, including completion of mental health assessments, crisis intervention, psychoeducation and short term treatment.
