The Push Up Challenge
The Push Up Challenge runs over three weeks, this year from May 11th – 31st with participants completing 3,046 push-ups over this time.
The challenge was created to promote awareness about suicide in Australia and encourage positive mental health through physical activity. The 3,046 push-ups to complete represents the number of Australian’s who died by suicide in 2018.
For the second year running, headspace is the official charity partner of The Push Up Challenge.
We would love you and your networks to take part in the challenge and fundraise for headspace. Registration is free. You can set a goal of completing the entire 3,046 pushups by yourself, or you can create a team and split the number of push-ups up each day to share the load. This year you can choose to fundraise for headspace National or a local centre.
Now, more than ever, we believe in the power of online communities and the importance of mental health and wellbeing. We think the Push Up Challenge provides a real and rewarding answer to keeping up connection and staying physically and mentally healthy.
