headspace is accredited against the Rainbow Tick Standards

headspace National has officially achieved Rainbow Tick accreditation, a nationally recognised symbol of inclusive practice for organisations that demonstrate cultural safety and support for LGBTIQA+ community. 

Rainbow Health Victoria created Rainbow Tick as a quality framework to help organisations show that they are safe, inclusive and affirming services and employers for the LGBTIQ+ community. 

The Rainbow Tick goes beyond being welcoming in principle. To achieve accreditation, headspace was independently assessed against six standards that focus on both service delivery and workplace culture. The standards were: 

  1. Organisational capability.

  2. Workforce development.

  3. Consumer participation.

  4. A welcoming and accessible organisation.

  5. Disclosure and documentation.

  6. Culturally safe and acceptable services.

Rainbow Tick is just one part of our broader commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. We will continue to build on this work, by continuing to listen, learn and evolve to ensure cultural safety remains embedded in everything we do.
