YRG 2024 Applications Open
Are you 12-25 years old, passionate about mental health, and want to make a difference in your community? Well, you're in luck! headspace Queanbeyan is looking for young people like you to join our Youth Reference Group (YRG)!
The YRG is a group of volunteers who help shape our services to better meet the needs of our young people. As a YRG member, you'll have the chance to provide feedback, suggest new programs, and advocate for youth mental health.
Why should I join the YRG?
The YRG is a key component to what makes headspace, headspace! Here are just a few of the many things you'll be able to do as a YRG member:
- Share your ideas and feedback to improve headspace services.
- Help design and implement programs and events for young people.
- Connect with other young people that are passionate about mental health.
- Develop skills in leadership, teamwork, and advocacy.
- Receive training in mental health. alcohol and other drugs, media, and other areas specific to your interests.
- ... And more!
We encourage applications from young people of all backgrounds, including:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse young people.
- LGBTQIA+ youth.
- Young men.
How do I apply?
It's easy! You can either:
