Youth Reference Group Applications Open Now!

headspace Port Adelaide are now taking applications for our Youth Reference Group (YRG), an exciting opportunity for young people to be involved in youth mental health awareness and advocacy! We are specifically looking for 18-25 year olds who live in the Western suburbs of Adelaide. You do not need to have a lived experience of mental health challenges (although this is accepted) but do need to have a passion for raising youth mental health awareness in the community.

Our YRG volunteers need to be available to attend monthly meetings at our centre (for which they are paid $25 for their time) where you can have a say in what we do both inside and out of the centre; including who we hire, what we post on our social media, what our rooms should look like, what events we should run, and more! And also, be available to help out at events, activities and groups that you can commit to.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain some experience in the mental health field, perhaps studying Psychology, Youth Work, Social Work, etc. Being part of a Youth Reference Group looks great on a resume too!
