Queer Quest Term 3 Schedule

After changing the look of the group slightly, Term 2 at Queer Quest has been a great success, and we're really happy to share our Term 3 schedule of activities. Interested in joining? Here are some FAQ's so you know exactly what to expect: 

What is Queer Quest?

Queer Quest is a free social connection group for young people aged 12-17 who identify as LGBTIQA+SB or as an ally of the queer community. Queer Quest is a safe and inclusive space for you to be yourself, meet like-minded people, have fun, and learn a little bit about looking after your mental health along the way! 

When and where is Queer Quest?

Queer Quest runs monthly on Tuesdays from 4:30pm - 6:00pm during the school term at headspace Port Adelaide: 78-80 St Vincent Street, Port Adelaide. 
What does Queer Quest look like?
Each session will begin with a short, grounding exercise such as a meditation, breathing exercise, icebreaker. At headspace, we believe in empowering young people to take an active role in the maintenance of their own mental health. While this is a social group, we want to equip young people with a useful, practical skill they can use outside of the group.

Following a grounding exercise there will be a 1-hour group activity to participate in, to help interact and connect with each other. Every month this will be a different activity to keep things fresh! Refer to the flyer below! With time leftover, you are welcome to stay and mingle, chat, play games, and more! 

Snacks, fruit, tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided free of charge.
How do I join?!
Click the button below to register. All information gathered helps us to keep everyone safe and allow us to receive funding for the group to continue.
 
A week prior to a given session, we will send a message out for all registered young people to confirm their spot, as we have a maximum of 10 spaces each month. 

You are permitted to attend Queer Quest until you turn 18.
