Groups Update April 2025

Please note a few changes to our LGBTIQA+SB groups at headspace Port Adelaide.

Unfortunately, we have made the decision to end our Roll with Pride D&D group. Sadly, we haven't seen enough registrations to justify the running costs. We want to thank Adelaide Queer Gamers for their support of this group for the last 2 years and look forward to their sporadic engagement with Queer Quest.

Queer Quest has also undergone a few changes. Firstly, our sessions are now monthly instead of fortnightly. Secondly, the time has changed to 4:30-6:00pm. We are also happy to say that from 4:30pm on Queer Quest nights, we won't have clients booked in, meaning young people will not need to be as careful of the noise, and young people are free to utilise the waiting room and kitchen without disturbing people in the waiting room! 

Lastly, we will be implementing a more purposeful structure to assist young people in establishing connections and maintaining them beyond the group. Moving forward we will commence each session with a short, guided meditation, followed by a 1-hour activity (see the flyer below for a schedule of Term 2 activities!). There will be time at the end of the session to hang out, sit & chat, play games, etc.

Queer Quest remains a free social connection group for young people aged 12-17 who identify as LGBTIQA+SB or as an ally of the queer community. It's a safe and inclusive space for you to be yourself, meet like-minded people, have fun, and learn a little bit about looking after your mental health along the way!
