Strong Start to FY 2024/25 at headspace Onkaparinga
As we move through the 2024/25 financial year, we’re proud to reflect on a strong upward trend in engagement, service delivery, and inclusive support here at headspace Onkaparinga.
Thanks to the dedication and passion of our team - and the trust of the young people we support - we’ve seen measurable growth across all areas of our service.
Key Highlights So Far This Financial Year:
- 12% increase in the number of young people supported
- 42% increase in total occasions of service
- 26% increase in average visit frequency per young person
- Increased access to bulk-billed GP support, led by our incredible in-house GP, Dr Steph
- More sessions delivered by onsite, bulk-billed Medicare mental health practitioners
Community Impact Milestones:
- Launch of in-reach services at Willunga High School and WAVE, improving local access to support
- Stronger engagement with Aboriginal young people, led by Leigh, our dedicated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Youth Peer Worker
- Increased reach and responsiveness to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities
- Ongoing, high engagement with LGBTIQ+ young people, affirming our commitment to safe, inclusive care
These achievements are a reflection of the collaborative work between our staff, peer workers, private practitioners, schools, and broader community.
