ART Competition & Exhibition

 

The headspace Greensborough & Plenty Valley Art Competition & Exhibition 2025 celebrates the ideas, perspectives and creativity of young people aged 12-25. Entry is FREE!

 

The exhibition ‘Through My Eyes’ will be a one night only show at the Nillumbik Youth Hub Thursday 4th December 2025 (5-8pm)

 

Entrants, friends & family are all welcome to come along and celebrate the show. Light refreshments will be provided.

 

Important Dates

  • 7 November: Last day to enter (see ENTER NOW below)
  • Anytime BEFORE the 14th November: Artwork drop-off headspace Greensborough or Plenty Valley (see website for opening hours)
  • 4 December: Exhibition at Nillumbik Youth Hub 5-8pm (one night only)
  • 15-19 December: Artwork collection from headspace Greensborough ONLY

Exhibition & selection of artwork

All artwork entered, received by the due dates and meets the terms & conditions of entry will be included in the live exhibition.

Who can enter

  • Young People aged between 12-25yrs
  • Young People who Live, work, study, or are connected to Banyule, Darebin, Nillumbik or Whittlesea areas
  • Up to two artworks per person
  • Maximum size of work A3 no minimum size applicable
  • Artworks for the wall must NOT be framed in anyway (including no canvas stretcher frames)
  • All artworks must be labelled correctly: name, title of artwork, age & phone number on a label or written on back of artwork
  • Please read the terms & conditions of entry
  • Entry is FREE

 $800 prize pool awarded to 6 artists!

  • Judges Choice Award: Winner - $200 Deans Art voucher
  • 12–15 Years: Winner - Prize value $125 (includes $50 San Churro voucher)
  • 16–20 Years: Winner - Prize value $125 (includes $50 San Churro voucher) 
  • 21–25 Years: Winner - Prize value $125 (includes $50 San Churro voucher)

Judges

Dean A. Jones is an Australian illustrator and painter working across digital and traditional media. His career includes commercial illustration for animation and games, and he is an award-winning children’s book illustrator. Dean's current practice focuses on portrait and landscape painting, informed by regular life drawing and plein-air study.

Nat Morawski Program Coordinator Photography - RMIT University 

Natalie is an advocate for the creative arts. Her photographic career spans over 15 years photographing commercially, with a fine art practice in mixed media and painting. Nat's teaching practice includes digital post-production, colour management and printing, exhibition development, and folio preparation studies.
