Accessibility at Freo Pride Fest

Freo Pride Fest 

Saturday 2nd November, from 1pm - 6pm at Walyalup Koort Fremantle 

 

Accessibility: Where possible we encourage attendees to utilize public transport, as parking in Fremantle is expected to be busy & limited. Please plan your day accordingly with below information:

A quiet & low sensory space will be available in the Fremantle Library (Quokka room) 

  • If you feel overwhelmed or just need some peace and quiet, we have set up a Quiet Space for you to just chill and relax. If you head downstairs to the library (lift available) you will see signage for the room. 
  • This will be manned by headspace Fremantle volunteers and will include a low sensory and quiet space with fidgets and sensory tools available, as well as headphones, earplugs, drawing, beading and other low sensory activities. 

Universal accessible toilets

  • There are 3 permanent universal accessible toilets located in the town hall foyer adjacent to the festival
  • 4 temporary Universal accessible toilets will be provided for use on the day. Feel free to use whatever bathroom you are comfortable with.

An Auslan interpreter will be at the festival from 1pm-3.00pm and 5.00-6.30pm for music and the Welcome to Country.

We also encourage attendees to consider the warm weather and bring their own hat, sunnies or umbrellas if needed - sunscreen will be available at the main site entry to Walyalup Koort.
