Echuca Transgender Podcast Series

A Podcast series, dedicated to educating listeners about transgender identities through insightful interviews, discussions, and personal stories.

headspace Echuca is proud to be part of the Transgender Podcast Series, a five-part project dedicated to fostering understanding, inclusion, and support for transgender people across our community. The series brings together lived experience, professional insight, and meaningful conversations to help listeners deepen their knowledge of transgender identities and the challenges and strengths within the trans community.

Across five episodes, the podcast explores key topics including:

·        Being transgender in rural and regional communities

·        Barriers to medical transition

·        Transgender youth insights and experiences

·        The role of family and friends in supporting trans people

·        Self-discovery, identity, and coming out

Led by Neesha Woodward with a backgroud social work with decades of experience in mental health, advocacy, and LGBTQIA+ community support, the series highlights stories of resilience, courage, and connection. It emphasises the importance of education, understanding, and combating stigma. We are incredibly grateful to have contributed to this project, which amplifies transgender voices and strengthens community awareness.
